Cyclists for Cultural Exchange is Honored as
CASA Organization of the Year
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) annually honors an outstanding organization, educator and individual in Santa Cruz County whose special efforts help support children in the county’s foster care system. Over the past four years, CCE has made grants to CASA that have made it possible to purchase bicycles for 50 foster kids.

The project granting money to CASA was led by CCE board member Patrick Kretsch, pictured below with some of the bikes given to foster kids. Patrick explains his passion for the project in a recent article in the Watsonville Patch (read it here). There’s also more about the CASA project on our website here.

Every year CCE grants funds to projects around the world that support ourmission statement. Grant applications are considered in March and September. For more information visit our grants page.
